About Lee…

Lee has been involved in audio recording and production for more than 40 years, beginning when he founded AbbeySound at the age of 18. Based in Rugeley, the studio operates from a purpose-built, soundproofed space at his home, providing a comfortable and high-quality recording environment.

While teaching became Lee’s main focus for many years, he continued to work on voiceover and audio projects alongside his career. Today, he has returned to audio production full-time, combining decades of experience with a passion for professional sound and storytelling.

From narrating scripts and producing polished voice recordings to mastering audio with correct levels, spacing and chapter markers, Lee offers a complete production service for audiobooks and spoken-word projects. He can also compose bespoke music for authors and creators looking to add a unique and personal finishing touch to their productions.

Perdita Jane Lawton

Perdita is an actress and voice over artist working from her professional home studio and commercial studios when required. Most recently she played the part of ‘Gronya Derange’ in Grand Desires at The MAC. She has also voiced the female lead ‘Auntie Hen’ in the English version of the award winning animation Hip-Hip and Hurra along with five smaller roles. Her entry in the International Piehole demo of the year competition came third and has been made into an animation itself.

She played the lead role of Amber Stone in an independent feature film ‘I, A Slave’ by Future Focus Films which was nominated in the American Online Film Awards. Perdita has appeared in several other independent films credited on IMDb.

Her theatre work includes ‘The Daughters of Venice’ at The Old Vic, Birmingham, the London Premiere of Neil Simon’s ‘Rumours’ at The Hen & Chickens. She has also worked with touring companies such as Bitesize, Quantum Theatre and Artyfact where she played ‘Lady Macbeth’ in ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Juliet’ in ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

Perdita’s voice credits include a ‘MovieStar Planet’ National Irish TV commercial, two commercials for Cornetto Classico and a Childrens audio book called ‘The Magic Clock’ for Inspire Books. She also played ‘Rika Demoen’ for the BBC as part of their drama collection of interviews with WW2 witnesses. She has recently completed books for MK Turner and Cat Yaffe, both produced at AbbeySound.
